The Welsh Thoracic Society

The Welsh Thoracic Society is a not-for-profit organisation concerned with the respiratory health of patients within Wales.  Our membership comprises health professionals with a special interest in respiratory disease including physicians, nurses and physiotherapists.  Our primary aim is to improve the health of our patients by promoting good clinical practice, encouraging research into all aspects of respiratory disease, and by providing a platform for sharing of ideas, debate, discussion and education.

On our pages you will find details of our bi-annual meetings, current research within Wales, and scheduled educational events.  We hope this will be of interest to those either currently working in respiratory medicine within Wales, or those health professionals (particularly trainees in respiratory medicine) considering a career here.  This website is not primarily designed to provide information for patients with respiratory disease, but access is open to all.
